Hey Everyone,

I just got word direct from the man himself (the man being writer/director Don Coscarelli) that MGM has acquired north American DVD/TV rights to Bubba Ho-Tep and they will be releasing it on May 25.

You want features - here's just a taste:

- 2 Commentary tracks
--(1) Bruce Campbell & Don Coscarelli (2) A "special guest" known as "The King" who sits down to watch Bubba for the first time.
- Deleted Scenes
- Trailers
- Joe Lansdale reading from his Bubba Ho-Tep novella
- EVEN MORE STUFF that's currently on the QT.

But how solid is THAT? Got your money saved? We'll have a link to buy the DVD as soon as it becomes available. We'll also be fashioning a massive promotional giveaway in support of this great release.

However, if you get the opportunity in your area to see the film in theaters, please do so. The best way to truly experience it is with an audience, laughing and cheering all the way.

You can go to the official website www.bubbahotep.com for more info on the film playing in your area.

We've got several great reviews around up at the site and Sonic Death Monkey did a terrific review of the CD soundtrack featuring Brian Tyler's great score. More details to come.

Campbell. In character as Elvis. On commentary.

I'm giddy.

That'll rule.

I got 2 things to say:

1)About fucking time

2)sounds like a keeper. If Campbell's commentaries are half as funny as the ones on ED2 and AOD, it'll be well worth the coin.

Even though details were already posted, here's some more.

Yeah, that's also the cover art for MGM's Bubba Ho-Tep: Special Edition, which is also coming May 25th (SRP $27.9Cool. Word is the disc is going to include anamorphic widescreen video, Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, three audio commentary tracks including one with director Don Coscarelli, one with cast members Bruce Campbell and Ossie Smith, and another with Campbell in character as Elvis, deleted scenes, several behind-the-scenes featurettes and interviews, and... you know... more.

Loved this flick at the festivals (any time anyone asks 'what good is it to go to festivals', Bubba Ho-Tep is my stock answer) and will definitely buy one right out of the gates in DVD release.

FYI, Bubba Ho-Tep played for a few weeks in Vancouver just recently. In fact it only closed last Friday. Apparently was drawing a good crowd.

On a similar note, The Corporation is now playing it's third month up here. Not bad for a tiny documentary with a big message.

Not to mention - In May, we'll be sponsoring a Bubba Ho-Tep giveaway in the contest section. Stay Tuned.
