Walken and Rickman are amazingly charismatic villians but Claude Rains in Notorious is a baddy I find myself very nearly wanting to see win.

A case could be made for Louis Cyphre or Harry in Angel Heart, I think.

Okay, I decided to update the polls, based on some of the more popular suggestions here. Plus I added another one I thought of today. I'm removing some of the zero vote losers to make room for them, so make sure you go vote for your faves.

what about Dennis Hopper's role in Blue velvet, one of the great screen villains for quite some time. others include Gary Oldman in Air Force One, John Lithgow in Ricochet.

I always thought Hopper was more just plain creepy than charismatic, though he does make a fine villain.

Oldman has been added to the poll at the top of this thread.

As for Lithgow, I was never able to take him that seriously as a villain. He falls just a little too far onto the campy side.

I already voted - but the more I think about it Christopher Walken in Sleepy Hollow was very creepy.

Uhh...stumbled onto this site to see what's so good about it.

Anyway, gary oldman in the proffesional, or tim curry in legend are my favorites. Also jack nicholson as the joker is really good.

Well, aside from the site itself being hilarious, the message board is really cool. I post in the movie forum at gamewinners and after being linked here by "Kyle" several times, I visited for more than 2 minutes for the first time today...and it was good Crying or Very sad

Edit: The only thing that this board lacks is good avatars or the ability to upload your own...but I guess cadaver from quake3 will suffice:(

I dunno if they exactly count, but the two brothers from Boondock saints... i mean they're champs, but they're the heroes as well as the villains really. Hard to call.
