This has 12A/PG-13 or whateverwritten all over it. Which is a shame. As is the reliance on Van Helsing style CGI, rather than good old prosthetics. _________________ "We hate the French! Plus, the release date has been pushed back tons of times...not a good sign. _________________ Charles Tatum's Review Archive |

What makes me want to see it is Hopkins' devilish grin - looks like he's being very sly with the material, and I'm wondering where it's going.
Plus, I love the shamefully underrated Joe Johnston. |

Seeing it for two reasons:
I love werewolves- my favorite beast.
Joe Johnston is tapped to direct "Captain America" - if he mixes "Saving Private Ryan" with "The Rocketeer" he's got it- and he's definitely got half of that equation, so I'd like to see what he does with this material.
The CGI was there but it didn't overwhelm, and they didn't blow their load by showing the Werewolf- that's heartening. _________________ I am L. Pete Morton. |

Frankly, all they need to do is put Emily Blunt in that "She-Wolf" video by Shakira and that would be the greatest werewolf movie ever _________________ "Happiness is a state of mind/Anytime you want, you can cross the state line"--Bob Dylan |

Seen that movie and it still trying to recover its cost. The movie is also not up to mark, in spite of getting such a high publicity. |

| It won an Acadamy Award for makeup. I guess deservedly so. The movie was all right, but then, the Lon Chaney Jr. black and white version is still pretty fun to watch late at night with the lights off! |
