Jack Bauer is done after eight seasons (has it really been on that long?), although I guess a finale film release is going to happen:

Good. There are only so many times the same old plot points can be rehashed - "OMG! The CTU employee has a dodgy personal life that's going to detract them from their job! OMG! Jack has to enlist a civilian to go undercover for him" - before it gets really stale and that was at least two seasons ago. I'm still watching this series, partly out of faithfulness and partly because sometimes it still does surprise you - I'm thinking axe to the chest - but I haven't caught up about the last five episodes, and frankly I'm not that bothered if I never do.

I was a great long journey of 8 season. And every season was equally success full. No problem if "24" want to retire. It has done its job (to entertain us) and free to say good bye. Surprised
