I think his Maniac Cop 2 is the best of the fine series, with some really incredible action sequences.

Antonio Banderas wearing chainmail; I wonder what that could be from...

I almost wish I could say I did not see that film.

I dunno Alex, while I can't call it a great film "Eaters of the Dead" or whatever they actually called the film adaptation isn't that bad a watch. Hell, its hardly Un Film De Uwe Boll... pretty watchable take on the Beowulf story.

The 13th Warrior, and quite underrated. Director John McTiernan had a really kick-butt year in 1999 with this and the dandy The Thomas Crown Affair.

Gee, doesn't the parent on the right look like he could potentially be very psycho? (hint, hint)

Probably didn't need to give that clue, did I, Matt? By the way, co-star Jill Schoelen, who played the young heroine, deserved to have become a major actress after that, but it just didn't happen. A shame.

No, I think recognised O'Quinn so would have probably guessed it from that. Cool

Don't know this one, but it does look like John Lithgow.

Dude, she was frigging hot back then -- as a teen, my five-fingered Mary was in constant use when watching her.

I know that one. It's Blue Velvet, the long-delayed sequel to National Velvet.

Warren Beatty in McCabe & Mrs. Miller. They don't make 'em like they used to.

Damn right about that. Today, McCabe would've miraculously survived that gunshot and he and Mrs. Miller would've opened a smashingly-successful brothel in Reno!

Here's one from one of the most underrated films of the '70s that gets better and better with eery viewing.

C'mon, people! It's that rare film that Walter Chaw and I agree on a 4-out-of-4-star rating for. And it was directed by somone who made a landmark film in 1967, some notable ones in the '70s, and some real stinkers in the '80s, one of which I reviewed in the last year.

I will have to assume that the director is Arthur Penn, and that the film, therefore, must be Night Moves. No, I haven't seen it.

What gave it away, Alex? The 1967 clue? Ah well, ya scored, my man.

And here's one from another underrated gem:
