I don't think you can watch it without sound....there's a;ways going to be heavy breathing and squishy sounds. Hold it...do you mean sounds from the movie?

Cut out all the dialogue, and scenes where people have clothes on.

Maegsy -

How is Dangerous Liaisons a 'guilty pleasure'?????

I love it too, but that's a quality literate flick with a pedigree!

I was asking that myself too.

How can Dangerous Liasions be a guilty pleasure? I wonder if she was referring to Cruel Intentions (which unfortunately[or should I say, fortunately], doesn't make my Guilty Pleasure list)?

cruel schmuel
I've never even seen Cruel Intentions.

Perhaps its how I first watched Dangerous Liasons. "R"s were strictly forbidden in my house and those of my friends. Watching that movie was well, a very very guilty pleasure. And we watched it often.

As were Black Adder, North & South, and just about any other miniseries, regency romance, and banned flicks we could get our hands on.

My friends liked to ruin "Dangerous Liasons" by saying "Du-ude" after every one of Keanu's lines. That makes it seem a little more guilty in my mind. I was wondering about someone's inclusion of "Amadeus." I didn't think I had to feel guilty about it.

Just for that side view of Adrienne Barbeau's bodaciously-awesome boobies, hell yeah!

Razz

On another note, I don't think anyone will ever enthusiastically recommend the underrated Adrenalin: Fear the Rush like me:

And for the hell of it, you haven't lived until you've seen an alien sing "I Want to Eat Your Face" from Naked Space (aka The Creature Wasn't Nice):

Side view, hell. In the now-banished MGM DVD that mistakenly contained the international version, there's full-on topless Adrienne and topless strippers.

But I was thinking more in terms of the sheer campiness.

There used to be a boob-and-pubes shot of her at Robb's Celebs, but poor 'ol Robb tragically passed way this year and the site's gone. Quite the blow it was to obsessed celebrity-nude-site fans. And, bless his good soul, Robb never charged so much as a penny to his visitors. He's missed plenty.

OH, so that's what happened to that site. No wonder whenever I tried to click on the links the page didn't appear ever again. I always thought it could be my firewall. That really sucks, that site was one of the first I enjoyed visiting and still enjoyed until that last time. tons of great pictures, even if they were repeats, he had stuff most people didn't have. He'll definitely be missed for sure.

Now that this topic is blown from the past, I may add also Desperate Measures as well on that and The Last Boy Scout.

I went to the theatre to see Last Boy Scout and walked out right after Damon Wayans was thrown off that bridge, landed on a car below, and lived. A couple of years later, I gave it a look-see on LaserDisc and unexpectedly enjoyed it.

I could never decide whether Last Boy Scout was a satire of jock-belch action flicks or a clueless example of same. It certainly goes so far over the top into machismo that it seems like something is going on under the surface.

"How 'bout some rap music?"

The one-liners just make this movie so much fun...

I've never been one to argue back and forth about what "makes" a guilty pleasure, but Sam Peckinpah's "Convoy" is just plain craptastic, in a good way. You remember the '70's, back when stunts involving vehicles utilized the actual vehicles, as opposed to sloppily CGI'ing a crash...Tamahori, I am pointing at you.

Tamahori, I am pointing at you.

That scene early in Along Came a Spider with the car and bridge was so godawful in its terrible-CGI way.
