If you've ever considered yourself a knowledgable horror freak, man are you in for a treat.

The flick starts a teeny bit slow, but once it kicks in - Woohooooooooo! The audience around me was screaming and laughing and yelling "Oh Shit!" like we were on the world's longest roller coaster.

In-jokes, subtle homages, outright silliness, CUTE women, dazzling eye candy, mega-creepy spiders, lots of gooey arachnid gore, and a MASSIVE body count.

Heaven.

To answer everyone's main concern: Arquette underplays his normal obnoxiousness quite well, and Kari Wuhrer is a stone-cold fox. She's an attractive version of Ashley Judd.

Blah blah blah. I'm wastin' this stuff here when I should be writing the review. But those who've been waiting patiently for this one, I bet you have a ball. If you're on the fence, let me push you over:

This is one FUN movie! Smile

You better be on the money here, Jew, I just recommended this movie based soley on your say-so.

Granted, it is about time someone made a B-grade monster movie with A-grade budget and effects. Stand by for the copycats if this one finds an audience.

But the CGI looks so hokey.
Is it all part of the fun?

If you're looking real carefully, there are a few segments that are a bit cheese-ballish...BUT we are talking about a mammoth parade of giant spiders, so it's bound to look 'unreal' no matter what.

On the whole, I thought the CGI was gloriously effective. WB should be paying me a salary; I've sold about 14 people on this movie already!

Everybody please stop back here after you see Eight Legged Freaks and let me know what you think!

Just posted my review. Yeah, it's damn fun, especially after being bored to death with Men In Black II. Reign of Fire had some cool moments, but it didn't have a real sense of fun about it.
The gramatically incorrect Eight-Legged Freaks is the real deal. No more DNA blah-blah-blah, we're back to good ol toxic waste! (And I'm not talking about Arquette)

Liked every second of it in which people were dying. (Wow, that sounds sadistic.) Could care less about the rest of it, though.

I was cracking up throughout the death scenes. Damn, those trapdoor and jumping spiders were cool.
