I usually don't read blogs, unless they are by people I know personally or part of a newspaper and written by columnists. But I recently came across this blog, whose author meets all the staples of the Mayflower Syndrome mixed in with old-fashioned nineteenth-century Manifest Destiny. As much as I want to avoid giving unnecessary publicity to such views, I think it necessary to point them out.

Any blogs you come across that you think are unacceptable?

No, since I only read the ones from people I know.

I don't think a blog can be unacceptable. Isn't that the point of a blog? You can say whatever you want?

Not really, no. Could someone start a blog about the proper way to broil children after they're kidnapped from the mall?

Legally, sure. You'd run into problems as soon as someone actually does it, but even then you could claim you were doing it as satire, a la "A Modest Proposal," and weren't really condoning it.

The only unacceptable blog to me is one like what Alex linked to, i.e., where every article is really, really, really, really, really long.

Then you're darn lucky that Alex doesn't blog. Wink

Not a blog, but I did see a necrophilia advocacy website somewhere, years ago. I don't know if it's still there. I don't want to know if it's still there.

The secret is in the marinade and spice rub.
