The actors' names kinda mar it, but it's still a striking cover:

Dave is apparently married to that Ariel font now, though.

If by "striking cover" you mean "looks like a generic paperback", yeah.

Yeah, but it's supposed to look like a generic paperback, maaan...

Yeah, that makes me want to see it even more. Gordon-Levitt rocks.

I wasn't much of a fan of the movie, but this artwork makes me want to give it a second chance:

Looks awesome until you get to the text at the bottom, which somehow makes the whole thing look like custom fan art.

Anyway, I didn't know there was a new edition coming out. Wonder what's gonna be on it.

I was going to disagree, but then I looked upon the Blu-ray version and wept:

Because that's what's going to get people to upgrade to next-generation DVDs: Swooshy silver frames.

I don't particularly like the original, either, but for crying out loud...

The Blu-Ray swoosh pretty much puts everything in the Awful Covers thread. It's a merketing nightmare, and Disney's sticking with it.

Yeah, and here's what Satan looks like in the actual movie:

Which somehow makes it even better.

Dude, the hero looks like fucking Dennis Weaver when he starred in tv's McCloud! (And, no, that's not a compliment.)

No idea what "Undertaker and His Pals" is, but I love it.

Also:

I still prefer the original poster art over this, and the text is pretty atrocious Photoshopping, but the rest? Brilliant:
