"Watch this movie, and I swear you'll wanna learn drunken boxing."
Let me just say, first of all, that Jackie Chan kicks ass. He kicks A LOT of ass in this movie. And he gets drunk while doing it. What a combination.Aside from all the ass-kicking, there IS a plot to the movie. The story begins when Wong Fei-Hung (Chan) attempts to evade a tax and accidentally comes into possesion of a valuable Chinese Jade Seal. He then uncovers a devious plan between Chinese criminals and the British Consulate to rob the country of its valuable antiques.
What happens in between the plot is what makes the film awesome. The fight scenes are amazing. Jackie Chan uses anything and everything to his advantage, as we all know, and this movie is no exception. Chan's drunken boxing proves that he is truly a master of styles.
The element of comedy is even included in the film, which rounds out the action nicely. A cool part of the movie is the outtakes at the end. It shows Jackie doing all the stunts for the movie, even scrambling across some hot coals.
Oh yeah, and if that isn't enough, how about some fire-spitting?Drunken Boxing is the way to go. This movie is a must for true martial-arts fans, and if you aren't a fan, watch it anyway. It might make you one.
