"The movie is summed up when the girls hold up their banner."
2 stars

And that banner of course, after so much effort from the girls, says "You suck, Dick," but you all know that we want to take it the other way. Plus, the girls cut up a flag and make it into designer clothes (how'd they do that, they're blondes!), making that scene with an extra amount of umphfff, that if you didn't have a gray hair, you might find one now.

“Dick,” like “Pecker,” isn’t quite what the title makes it out to be. Whereas the latter film was about a photographer, the former is about ex-president “Tricky-Dick,” Richard Nixon. The main characters in this mess are two extremely dumb 15-year-old blondes (Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams) who become official Whitehouse dog-walkers and bust Nixon’s Watergate scandal.

Like “Mafia,” this is either hit or miss, and similarly, this is a total miss. There’s no story to it, and the filmmakers have very little to parody. Sure, there are a few laughs here and there, but “Dick” plays like an overlong sketch that even “Saturday Night Live” wouldn’t use (and be ready for plenty of innuendoes pertaining to the title). Dan Hedaya does a decent Nixon, but it would have been a lot funnier had they gotten Anthony Hopkins to parody his own role from 1995’s “Nixon.” Michelle Williams, who’s usually very annoying, is not as bad as she is in some of her other work, but is still far from being there. As for Kirsten Dunst, although she looks a lot more attractive here (and as bony as Gwyneth Paltrow), she showcases none of the talent seen in “Drop Dead Gorgeous.

Even the scene in "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me," with the whole rocketship scenario, was more effective in the silly/perverted sense than this entire movie as a whole.

“Dick” mainly served as an expensive exposé to the same old songs from the 70s as heard in every other movie, and the same old jokes as last week's SNL or worse. Where was the creativity --especially with such a fun source of humor?
