"One mansion. Three bad-asses. Guns, grenades and samurai swords. Damn!"
5 stars

All you need to know about this movie is that the last scene is the single most kick-ass, blood and guts filled, awesomelicious action sequence ever! This is what an action movie is all about!

Yes, yes, there are some frankly ludicrous plot elements (Ah yes, Mark's dead but guess what? Twin brother! C'mon!) But the thing is if you can remember anything about the plot after the end of this movie, then there is something seriously wrong with you.

The only thing that counts is that after the death of younger brother Kit, the three protagonists embark on a gun and grenade fueled extermination of a house full of gangster fools. And when the guns (eventually) run out what do you do? Well obviously you carve up every fool in the room with a samurai sword. Samurai sword; for when you absolutely, positively have to disembowel every mo-fo in the room...

There really are too many good bits to enumerate here, but lets say dude in sunnies , long coats and carrying two guns never looked cooler. Forget any bullshit about Tarantino-esque cool - THIS is where the style came from. This is bullet ballet!

Chow Yun Fat is awesome cool, and the action sequences are so good that I had to watch the end all over again after the film finished.

The final scene with our three bullet ridden hero's slumped in couches as the cops arrive is a cinema classic. Frankly, its one of many in this totally fabulous movie. Watch and learn punks, watch and learn....
