This chick is TOAST.I saw this film in the theater and was completely friggin' terrified of the library ghost. I couldn't sleep that night. I'm such a wuss.
That said, this is one of the best paranormal sci-fi comedies out there, and one of the best flicks from the 1980's. Three guys decide to work as paranormal investigators and exterminators.
Ghost-busters, if you will.
Along the way, they find out that a hot woman (Sigourney Weaver) is possessed (and is, in fact, a giant Satanic dog) and that a giant marshmallow man can walk the streets of New York.
There's also the slime.
Look: it seems like everybody's seen this, and if you haven't, you should. The cast (particularly Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd) hasn't really done anything to top this film in their careers. It's funny, and it's right cool. Plus it's got the definitive soundtrack song (by Ray Parker, Jr., no less!).
Rent it, and see how the Ghostbusters show the prehistoric bitch how they do things downtown.NOBODY steps on a church in my town!
