All right, my name is Vanessa. Let's get that out of the way.Throw me all your Austin Powers sound bites you want. I hear them enough, don't you worry, I can take it. ;) When I saw this flick in the theatres, I was among friends, so I felt quite the little blush coming on when I heard Elizabeth Hurley's name for the first time (no, I hadn't been previously prepared).
With that, I'd like to say that Austin Powers is shagadelic, baybee! Yeah! I was completely prepared to hate this movie. I saw the ads on TV. (eh.) I saw the trailer. (eh.) I went because nothing else happened to be playing. I left wanting to see it, again.
Oh lord, Mike Myers was hilarious, especially as Dr. Evil. "He's your son... what are you thinking about right now?" "Ummmm... killing him." The thing with the cat was hilarious, Seth Green was hilarious (I'm a big Seth Green fan), and Elizabeth Hurley plays straight man... er, woman... very well. A great effort all around.
Rent this, watch it on HBO over and over, you swingin' cats and kittens!Yeah, baby!!
