Bernie Mac is rapidly becoming my hero. This movie is about how men are smart, and women are dumb sluts. Bill Bellamy, who is on MTV or something, stars as this guy who is able to get all the chicks, and is currently juggling 10 women or so, none of whom know about the other 9. Now, that would be difficult for most folks, but it's OK here, because Bill and his ho's never go out. They stay in and have sex. Bill can have sex up to 10 times a day, I guess. I suppose that's all part of being a "playa". Bill's friends sit around, and sometimes watch Bill have sex. Bill's friends are, respectively, short, fat, and whipped. They never get any lovin'. Bernie Mac plays a jealous husband named Buster. He's funny as hell. He runs after Bill for a few scenes, but he can't run very far, because he has asthma. Now THAT is funny. Gilbert Gottfriend is in this movie, and he's kinda funny too. Plus, there's some really fat kids, a drunk uncle, and a jive-talkin' former playa at a family barbecue that provide some laughs. Unfortunately, Bill Bellamy is annoying as shit. He talks to the camera, which reminds me of Zack from "Saved by the Bell". Coincedentally, Bill gets it on with Lisa from "SBTB". How...odd.
"Women are stupid! Ha ha! Being a player is fun!"
This movie seems to be about how to treat women like shit. How to cheat on them effectively, how to sweet-talk your way into their pants and then leave right afterwards, how to be nice to ugly chicks so that hot chicks will think you're sensitive, how to talk to your male friends about how many chicks you've fucked, how to make fun of your friend who wants to be in a serious relationship and treat his woman right, and how to make fun of your fat sister. If these seem like practical life skills YOU need to learn, then by all means, rent it. Or why not rent "The Pick-Up Artist"? At least you can make amusing prison-rape jokes about Robert Downey Jr.I wish one of those two fat kids sat on Bill Bellamy, crushing him to death. That would have been a better movie.
