"All in all there is nothing great about it, but its still amusing"
Why did they change the name of this film???Originally entitled 'Keep The Aspidistra Flying' from a George Orwell novel.
It is a romantic period comedy about a poet (Richard E Grant) and his girlfriend (Helena Boham Carter).
As always Richard E Grant is excellent and here very eccentric.. A more harmless withnail. Helena is herself, no more needs to be said.
It is though quite an amusing film.. It's another British period film, so you know it will look good, and it is very witty (Note: not funny) as you would expect from Orwell.
All in all there is nothing great about it, but its still amusing enough. This film should work better with 30 somethings who hate the normal romantic comedies.
