"The Knicks? BAHAHAHA!"
1 stars

I love this movie.

Don't let me mislead you.

I love this movie because it's movies like this that made me become a part of Hollywood Bitchslap to begin with.

Whoopi Goldberg's a nobody who wins a novelty contest where she's special guest coach of the Knicks. But the real coach sucks, and the owner (Frank Langella) sees that Whoopi's all into it, so he makes her the coach.

Hijinks ensue.

Dumb. Beyond dumb. Dumb to an exponential power. That's redundant, but I'm reiterating how dumb the movie is. First off, it's supposed to be a comedy.

I laughed *zero* times.
None.
Nada.
Zip.
I barely cracked a smile.
I sighed in relief when it was over, though.

I've never understood the attraction to her as a comedian. Outside of Jumpin' Jack Flash, I haven't found her funny in anything. As for her acting?

Ugh.

She flashes the teeth, flips the hair, and brays like a packmule when she laughs.

Avoid this movie at all costs.

But hey, it's got NBA players in cameo roles. And we all know what great actors they are, right?
