"Working to laugh."
1 stars

Documentary headlining Jerry Seinfeldís return to his roots: stand-up comedy acts.

The movie begins as he has begun to prepare new material and the diffidence at which he performs it on stage. Progressively, with each following gig, his comfort-level grows higher. In between he sits down with a number of other comedians (i.e., Jay Leno), allowing them to muse over the stress of stand-up. But along the way, the documenters spend more time with newcomer, verdant comic Orny Adams, following his rise to rejection/acceptance. One thing is for sure: the guy canít handle criticism. Too caught up in his own self-inflated, over-blown ego, Adams cannot withstand the repeated verbal auto-fellation he gives himself and his act. Tetchy, though less so than Adams, are the sloppy, shaky, darkly shot hand-held photography and the often inaudible speech-recording. More than 40-minutes in the company of Annoying Adams proved to be too much for me.

[Not to be bothered with.]
