"Sinking suspicions."
1 stars

It, both the movie and coincidentally (though unsympathetically) the “fan,” plunges and drowns. Sinks.

And along the way, it can be assumed that it never intended to come up for air — although a smart audience never would have gone under. This self-imposed teenaged Fatal Attraction (directed with concrete shoes by John Polson) goes off the deep end sooner than (excuse the pun) Tilda Swinton in The Deep End. Has no one bothered to check this girl’s mental competence before, as she seemingly leaves a trail of wet-marks behind? The youthful cast remains just as unimpressive — the overrated Erika Christensen (hopefully not ever to be mistaken with Julia Stiles again) ostensibly exhibits that her follow-up to Traffic should be more about her placement in billing over the quality of not just the movie, but the role as well. With Jesse Bradford and Shiri Appleby.

[Not to be bothered with.]
