"Just dismissed."
1 stars

The initial, transient scare of Fisher Stevens’ sex comedy, a blend of live-action into sloppy animation (ŕ la the opening of “Real Sex” or Waking Life) returns blown up to the size of a full-fledged horror when the movie continues to abuse the gimcrack.

The content sees only further diminution: three separate couples and a solo lunatic, acquainted one way or another, all manage to covertly co-mingle, offsetting a strange set of repercussions. It isn’t provocative — the humor, that is — but rather slovenly trivial, sleazy and ribaldrous. The story, the direction, gets itself into so much trouble, that Stevens is forced to re-trace his steps in order to create an alternative, lesser ridiculous outcome. Alleviation does not follow. With Ron Eldard, Kyra Sedgwick, Taye Diggs, Marisa Tomei and Marley Shelton.

[Not to be bothered with.]
