A limp, forgettable comic strip movie with weak heroes (played by Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner) and a villain with no character or menace (Michael Clarke Duncanís King Pin). The only pleasure in Daredevilís unlikely story of a blind lawyer cum crime fighter is Colin Farrellís assassin, Bullseye. Farrell manages to be menacing whilst simultaneously whooping it up and acting everyone else off the screen. Heís the only one in the vicinity who seems to be having fun. That includes adaptor-director Mark Steven Johnson, who directs with a plodding earnestness.Sam Raimiís Spiderman didnít sweep me off my feet. But it isnít hard to recognise Daredevil as a quick - and cheap - attempt to cash in on that filmís extraordinary success.
