"At least the water looked good enough to swim in."
1 stars

The adventures of a small littoral Italian town’s local wacko, a mother of three and wife of a fisherman.

It follows her strange relationships with her children, particularly her older son — the middle child — who already has strange tendencies of his own. (Besides fighting with rival boys his age, both groups enjoy the humiliation of stealing one another’s pants.) Aimless, uncommenting, sexually stagnant, and on top of it all, drearily dull. If only it had any goals apart from Fabio Zamarion’s lush photography, where rarer have waters looked so blue, sand so white, cliffs so brown and mossy, there might have been something to hold out for. Directed by Emanuele Crialese; with Valeria Golino, Francesco Cansisa, Vinceno Amato, Filippo Pucillo, and Veronica D’Agnostino.

[Not to be bothered with.]
