The noble tale of two brother's quest to save their home by searching for lost pirate treasure. And the second most 80s movie ever, second to the Breakfast Club.Mickey (Sean Astin) and *sigh* Brand (the dreamboat that is Josh Brolin) are the aforementioned brothers. Joining them is a whole batch of buddies including Corey Feldman, Jonathan Ke Quan (of Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom fame), and John Matuszak (SLOTH!)
This stellar cast is only the frosting on the cupcake. And it's like the good, store-bought icing that takes really sweet and thick and you can only eat a little bit of it before it makes you sick. Wow. I just totally drew that cool paralell when really I was just thinking about icing.
Pure camp. I mean, anyone who writes a script in which 8 kids find buried treasure and a huge, deformed man becomes their friend is not going for reality here. It's wonderful as a silly fantasy movie. Plus Josh Brolin is hot. And he's all sweaty and working out in the first scene. Mmmmm Josh Brolin....mmmmm....Whao. Anyways, everyone should see this movie lots of times. 5 sporks for entertainment value.
