This is Cincinnati, home of the Bengals. You'll have to be a bit more specific.
(If it's Charlie Hustle you mean, why, he's a golden god who has done no wrong. Felon shmelon, put 'im in the Hall.) |

Dave, what's Great American like as a venue?
I used to live across the river in Covington when Cinergy Field was in it's final year (nothing better than being able to walk to a ballpark, even if they always lose). I really liked the fact that you were right over the field wherever you sat, and kinda figured GABP would be yet another style-over-substance stadium (to go along with the Cincy football stadium white elephant).
Oh, and does Cincy still effectively shut down every weekend? And are they still arresting convenience store owners who sell Playboy? _________________

GABP's very cool, actually, although I usually just shell out for the cheap bleacher seats. (Thus allowing me to avoid the many Pepsi commercials and obnoxious Blessid Union music videos that pop up on the scoreboard every half-inning.) There were apparently some additions made this year that I have yet to check out.
(As for Paul Brown Stadium... I've only been inside when they had a "come down for free before the season starts to check it out" day. At least it looks nice on the outside, adding to the skyline.)
And whaddya mean every weekend? Place shuts down every weeknight, too. |

True dat, although I used to enjoy going to CinCin's now and then.
And, of course, doing the "not going to touch the street where all the black folks are" executive crosstown catwalk tour.
Is Covington still where all the upright Christian Cincy folk go to get their $5 lapdances and $10 crack, or has it all gentrified? _________________

With Newport being built up so much, Northern Ky all around has cleaned up some. The lapdances have moved north.
That last sentence sounds like a euphamism. |

I'm adopting the Phils as my NL team to root for this year. You guys have two fan favorite former ChiSox in "Sweaty" Freddy Garcia and Aaron Rowand, and how can you not like Ryan Howard and Chase Utley. Plus, that city needs a championship. Bad. Real bad. Real real real bad.
Today, I sat in thirty degree weather for three innings and watched Jon Garland self destruct against the Indians. I then headed to the Bullpen Sports Bar in right field to watch the end of the game and warm my hands, which had beer frozen to them because I was shaking so much from the cold. Game ends with Jason Michales making an increadible basket catch against the left field wall to rob Joe Crede of a bases clearing walk-off double.
And even though my team lost and it was a pretty miserable day at the ballpark, I'm so glad it's baseball season. |

I was going to drive down to Seattle to catch the Oakland A's season opener, but as I was arranging baby-sitting (literally as I was on the phone), the last tickets were sold.
Turned out the A's got blanked and looked crap all night.
Dodged a bullet.
But man, what I wouldn't have given to have been there tonight to watch Rich Harden deal. _________________
