To those that are coming out for the festival(s) I have press kits for a cool short I helped out on this summer. If you will post a private message to me with a mailing address I'll be sure to get the kits out to you. The film will be at Slamdance this year.

Thanks

Well, the festival is pretty much over now, which means I can sleep again. I just wanted to say here how swell it was to meet The Angry Jew, Erik and Oz for the first time in real life, and to watch a few movies with them. (I saw Maegs, too, but I'd seen her before ... and yet it's still very special, each time I see her.)

I saw 36 films, a couple of which were spectacular, several of which were quite good, a few of which were awful, and a whole lot of which were mediocre. It was an average year for the fest -- nothing like 2001, which produced four of my top 10 films of the year, but not terrible, either. And it was a lot of fun anyway, regardless of the actual content of the actual movies. One of the films had a guy biting the head off a live chicken. Where else are you going to see that? Not down at your local megaplex, that's for sure.

I kept waiting for Eric's head to explode, like in his picture, but it never did.

Fuckin' tease.

Your head exploded?

If so, then why are you still here? You should be already 6 feet under.

Unless you got a master surgeon beside you Wink

I believe that he did in fact have a master surgeon beside him.

Unlike Crossroads, which you didn't have to think about at all.

Though what Britney said was weird in itself because when she actually attended a flick at Sundance, she and her 'entourage' were almost escorted out because throughout the flick they all yakked on cellphones and talked to each other. Probably not the wisest thing to do with Bob Redford within earshot and a good forty press folks not far away. Still, a showdown was averted when Britney and her crew left. Early.

...And don't come back.
