So many things wrong here, but the most wrongiest is Fatone's awesome staredown. |

"The Look and Sound of Perfect"
What the fuck!? I trust this is pertaining to the quality of the DVD, with it placed where a film's tagline normally is. Too, what the hell with there not being a gun or something in the artwork that gets across that the film is a sexy crime tale rather than just a sexy tale?
Pretty pathetic, this. _________________ "Joe the Plumber -- you can quote me -- is a dumbass." -- Meghan McCain |

That's HD-DVD's slogan, although I think Universal is the only one still slapping it and much else in the way if HD-specific graphics on its packaging. Not quite so objectionable as the hellish thing Disney puts on their Blu-ray discs, but I wish they'd all knock it off.
To give Universal some credit, they have stopped using the unreadable silver-and-black color scheme on their HD-DVDs' spines. _________________ Blogs: Jay's Movie Blog, Transplanted Life, The Trading Post |

I'm pretty sure I went through all 11 pages of this thread. How did this not get mentioned? I know Weinberg is quoted on the back, but still...
I've seen this movie many times and I have yet to see a single roller coaster in the damn thing. _________________ Chicago Film Critics Association

Apparently that fact that he JUST (recently!) crossed the border is a big plot point. _________________ Scott Weinberg |

The Oscars could have done a DVD cover montage featuring those with characters' heads at the top of the box, and a long shot of some moment of action at the bottom of the box. I see this all the time at the video store. _________________ Charles Tatum's Review Archive |

I really hope they fixed the spelling before they put out the actual DVD:
Oy. The Beeb, yet. Worst typo since "feminisim" on the cover of Ms. _________________ But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.

So this is the big change Oz was talking about: we've finally branched out into DVDs.

I was honestly torn as to whether to put this here or in the Cool DVD Covers thread.
Let's say it's hilariously awful and cool.

With white Impact font with black outline text and intentional misspelling, the tagline looks like LOLCAT text. |

I have convinced myself that this will be the greatest thing ever:
IMDB synopsis: "A teenager with an early onset of male-pattern baldness befriends his high school's janitor." AWESOME. |

Osmond's smile isn't as creepy this time. Shame.
Of course, there's always the C. THOMAS HOWELL STAREDOWN:

Oh. Fucking awful.
And what was wrong with the original design?
I do not know.
The new disc's got some cool extras, though. _________________ But I wish the public could, in the midst of its pleasures, see how blatantly it is being spoon-fed, and ask for slightly better dreams.
