anyone catch this tonight? It was the God-damned funniest thing I've seen all week. Either Busey is truly insane, or the greatest actor of our time, because I truly believed that this guy is FUCKING NUTS Very Happy which makes the show even funnier, as he screws with the sidekick's head constantly. Oh, and how about Busey in drag? I haven't laughed and cringed so much since Cabin Fever.

Comedy Central has finally done a celebrity reality show right. None of the whiny bitchy useless offspring of the Osbournes, and unlike that bloated and medicated waste of space Anna Nicole, the demented shit that comes out of Busey's mouth is actually funny.

i didn't watch the show, but i was at the Jimmy Kimmel show the other night when Busey was on... that guy is freaky. my friend talked to his manager's assistant... apparently Busey really can be extremely scary in real life.

Yeah Ben, that came across.

Funny, but very frightening at the same time...

well, look at his face. One side of his head looks like it was knocked in and never quite straightened out. Tell me that motorcyle accident didn't do some serious brain damage

There goes Ben, name dropping again.

A friend of mine that used to live in California went to REHAB with Busey. Said the dude was nuttier than a fucking three pound bag of pistachios. He told me a couple stories, but being that this was five years ago and I was making friends with Mr. Beer Can, I don't really remember them. I just remember being scared for my friend's life while he was telling me stories about the babbling lunatic. haha.

Well, whether Busey really is a nutter, or if it's all just one big act, either way it's funny as hell. I'm definitely going to keep watching. Too bad it's on opposite Lucky, but that's why God created VCR's.

That look on Busey's face doing drag
in Under Siege will never escape
my mind........ Shocked

I'd like to someday see
Busey & Nolte paired up in
some psycho comedy....
like Natural Born Killers
meets 48 Hours...of binge drinking....???

Ha, a buddy comedy with Nolte and Busey would be a fucking riot. You wouldn't even have to script it. Just set those two loose on a road trip somewhere, and some funny, fucked-up shit's bound to happen!

I never miss "The Daily Show" and am starting to like "Tough Crowd" a bit more, too. This Busey show was a little odd to me, though. I have to see another episode before I know if it will strike me funny.

Tash - whereya been! yeah, Tough Crowd is pretty decent, though it's hit and miss sometimes. Depends on who the guest panel is. That Nick De Paolo guy always cracks me up, though.

Aw, shucks. You missed me? Embarassed Very Happy

I didn't watch "Tough Crowd" until I saw a clip show of some of the best moments, many featuring our fave, Denis Leary. So, I decided to give it a try. If a topic sucks, TiVo lets me zoom on by.

Always! Wink

Damn, they've had Leary on there? I need to watch it more often. I have seen Jon Stewart on there a couple of times though, and he's funny as hell.

Re-watched the hilarious horror flick Silver Bullet a few months back, and I was again impressed at Busey's versatility -- he managed to give a nuanced, believable and touching performance as Corey Haim's eccentric uncle. And he also deserves credit for giving fine, understated ones in Lost Highway and Carried Away.

When he wants to, Busey can be a very fine actor.

Everytime I watch the Phantasm series, I often imagine
Busey playing Reggie Bannister's role Very Happy

He certainly wouldn't be bad, but Reggie just owns that fucking role. Wonder if his character will ever wind up getting laid, as he's always trying (and, of course, failing) to do?

As a public service:

This week's Buseyism is "Your imagination is the hood ornament on your car of creativity"

Hmmm...thought maybe I recognized that from an economic's lecture at Harvard last year, but I guess nobody could (or would want to) equal Busey's clandestine mind-set.

Dude, no lie, the Buse gets more and more erratic (and hilarious) with each passing episode. I can't even keep up with all the bizarre shit coming out of his mouth because I'm laughing so hard I can barely breathe. I can't wait to see what they do for the season finale'

The significant other is convinced that Busey is just putting on an act for the camera.

Comments?

To some extent, yes. Obviously, the scenarios are staged and he's playing along with them. But I get the feeling that little, if any, of the dialogue is scripted. The dude just rambles on about all kinds of bizarro shit.

So yes, he's acting along - but he's still insane.
