Mickey fuckin' Rourke at the IFC awards.

If every winner at the Oscars were allowed to give a speech like that, everyone would watch every year. As funny as the best stand-up, as honest as a punch in the face.

Always been a Rourke fan, but every appearance I've seen him do for Wrestler publicity and Oscar votes has just endeared him to me all the more. And that speech? Instant fucking classic. God bless him. He's grateful, he's reformed, but he still doesn't give a fuck.

"I don't know who you are honey, but the other two are really good."

Please God, let him win tonight.

Also, interesting to hear him praise Marisa Tomei as a recent interview in Empire suggested that he really didn't like her.

I disagree, Rob -- I think Rourke went way overboard in his save-Eric-Roberts rant. Yes, Roberts is underrated (I can't think of so much as a single film he hasn't helped just by showing up), but he didn't need Rourke to remind the fucking audience of the guy's past criminal act and stalled acting career. I don't blame Roberts for shouting to Rourke to just accept his damn award.

Oh, and here's a wonderful scene with the two:
