It doesn't happen often that folks will swallow their pride and say 'my bad', especially in electronic-land. So, respect for doing... kinda.. just that.

United in hatred of Matthew Lillard, we roll on.

one thing for ben: I wasnt saying I was here longer, i was saying other site admins were, or so they appeared to be. that was predicated on the joined-date on your profile. ive since learned that there had been at some point a kind of clearing of the slate so that those dates werent really accurate. sorry for the confusion there.

one: um, whose joined-on date is before mine?

two: you're still taking this whole thing way too seriously.

Ben's been here much longer than me.

But I've been here much longer than he has.

Nudge nudge wink wink say no more.

ben: (2 possibilities)

1) I take everything too seriously.

2) the measure of seriousness was a reaction to dani getting really upset.

either one works, take yer pick.

scott: HUH? (yes, confusion can be fun)

That may be true. I'm also self-centered, egotistical, vindictive, and hot tempered/high strung as hell. Who cares? If you want to measure my cornucopia of faults on your personal moral gradient, be my guest...just don't expect me to give a damn about the results. Being flawed to perfection is one highly specialized art I take great pride in gradually mastering.

Besides, in retrospect, I could say the same thing about more than one person...but in the interest of keeping the peace around here, I won't. I'm not all that interested anymore in playing the voice of temperance and reason, when I'm much better cast as the mercurial drama queen. Which, in my eyes, there are worse things to be. At the very least, you can't accuse me of having no passion.

No, not the CultureDose boards!!! Please, we don't need any head-up-his-butt, self-indulgent, John Nesbit-like stuff here!

This is the non-anal-retentive site, folks.

"And what have we learned in the past week, class?"

That Dani O. often leaves Eminem for dead as far as controversy's concerned...and she'll always get the last word. Or die trying.

You know what sucks? Discovering that your parents weren't always full of shit when they shifted into those psychoanalytic-lite primetime TV-theme song modes.

By the way, Jane Pratt can be a starfucker and a half. She can be. But in exchange for a complete absence of the same goddamn verbatim "28 She-Woman Tactics That'll Drive HIM Wild" every fucking month, I'll happily deal with a column hacked together by one Pamela Anderson in its place. At least that whole concept's good for a few yucks.

Ya didn't miss nothin' Scott. I was kinda sorta somewhat a little bit being silly and making fun of myself, and spork up and took it the wrong way.

Such events are way too typical to make me mad anymore. And I'm too fucked up and groggy to get mad right now, anyway.

Gee, I've had much better luck with the men of this site than the women. Analyze that? Hell, no...that too is rather commonplace.

Green is my favorite color...I miss my old green pajamas with the billiard balls on them.

And Massachusetts, weather-wise, is schizophrenic as I am. I alawys knew we belonged together...

Uh, yeah, I luff joo, spork. Sorta. It's really the eating utensil I hate. And thanks for the offer, but I don't need a teacher. I got too many students. They're cute. I question their taste sometimes, but they make me laugh.

Probably because the women weren't trying to get you in bed.

actually, from what i know quite a few HAVE tried.

I still manage a monopoly though. *knocks on wood/gets a few splinters*

(OR...it's the one-track minded men's fault that trap exists, you cant even desecrate yerself out of it. case in point: )

Meg Ryan: "So a man CAN be just friends with a woman he finds UNattractive?"

Billy Crystal: "No, you pretty much wanna nail them too."

Um, yeah. But the ORIGINAL quote was about "this site", so... that's what I was referencing. Maybe you should read what's actually being talked about before you comment on it? Things would probably make a bit more sense.

yeah, OK. i was attempting whimsy, but apparently only your brand of it works around here? don't worry, im not continuing this under any circumstances after what's already happened, so if you'd like the last word, i dont care.

seriously, I dont know why you're such a _____, who looks for a showdown in EVERYTHING.

it's damaging to the health to be so uptight all the time, you know.

here's hoping you'll ignore the warning.

Yeah, I'm for that, Slyder. I just regret not shutting up ages ago, but...ah hell,no one would ever accuse me of knowing when to quit. Better too much than not enough, I always say. But in this particularly pathetic case...

**grabs the thread by its immaterial hair and spears its jugular with a fork**

Done.

Frosty, we're clearly not each other's cup of tea, but such situations are inevitable in the real world. I'm cool with it and hope that, if nothing else, we can stay out of each other's way. No hard feelings.

Ditto spork.

OZ, sorry if I hit any nerves with my comments about the site. I DO respect it, but I'm the type of person who aims for the throat when I'm feeling persecuted...and can say some really nasty shit in the name of self-defense. I'm considering restricting my posts in this forum to the Movie Talk section, which is, believe it or not, why I'm here in the first place. It's harder to get into trouble there than it is here, anyway...I have to be in the right confident mood to willingly piss people off, and this whole thing kinda caught me in the headlights.

I really want this thing to be over, but it did admittedly put me in a sort of cyber-identity tailspin for a while. Pathetic, I admit it...I've always had a talent for blowing shit WAYYYYYY out of proportion. Seeking damage control in a place like this is a little drastic, like treating dandruff by decapitation.

I'm still a little resentful about the whole "how-come-I'M-always-the-one-in-the-wrong" thing, but I'll get over that. If nothing else, it'll add a kickass dimension to a future literary anti-heroine.

this thread could have ended days ago is dani and her boytoy hadn't kept it going. that said, i agree it's time to force them to not respond by locking the thread, since they clearly cannot control themselves. and to all a good night.
