So, is that helicopter doing a search on Timberlake's head or something?

And Spacey in a bolo tie = brilliance.

The artwork and layout themselves aren't bad... but those logos? Yuck.

Well, at least they'll hopefully be given anamorphic transfers finally. Checked both of them out from the library a couple of months ago, and non-anamorphic transfers don't play too good on either a portable DVD player or a laptop. And even though I was never a big Kathleen Turner fan, I still think she was robbed of an Oscar nomination for her work in the first film.

This may very well be the fugliest DVD cover in history:

PICK A FONT AND STICK WITH IT.

Then there was the Princess and the Warrior DVD art, which pissed me off so much I gave it its own page on my website.

So, is Land of the Blind supposed to be a sequel to Constant Gardener or something?

As for the Kimstim cover, Rob's got it right. I'm still trying to figure out the title of that thing.

No comment, aside from that I love the title. And also that Vivica A. Fox is now settled into the category of celebrity that she deserves.

If I told you Bob ("Baby Geniuses") Clark directed it, you'd have no trouble believing me. But check out this cast:

Jon Voight, Simon Rex, Jaime Pressly, Pat Morita, Thomas Kretschmann, Ron Lester, Lori Petty, and the voices of Nicollette Sheridan and Chevy Chase -- as if we all just happened to forget about Oh, Heavenly Dog!

This flick's got Cornelius written all over it.

How the mighty have fallen.

And I'm not even talking A Christmas Story, I'm talking Deathdream and Black Christmas.

What the hell happened to Mira Sorvino? She looks like Hedwig passing a kidney stone through her angry inch.

How much make-up is Steven Seagal wearing there? Darn gosh, he looks so purty.

Sorry, I meant the Hard Cops one. Not the one with Stephen Dorff doing his best Jack Bauer impression.

Lousy Photoshopping, floating heads, overly busy, weak quote, and... just what the hell is Clive Owen looking at, anyway?

I keep forgetting to post this one. Makes me giggle every time I look at it. Steve Allen's moustache alone is a keeper.

But can we back up a few posts for a second?

Well, of course nothing can top Karate Dog. I just figured that went without saying.

By the way: Looked up KD on Amazon. You know how they have these "Better Together: buy X with Y for a special price today!" links? Yup. Here's what it pulled up for me:

Better Together: Buy this DVD with Madea Goes to Jail (The Tyler Perry Collection) DVD today!

Because Amazon knows when you like total crap, I suppose.

Course, it makes up for it by having Inside Man on the DVD

Great little film, actually Jonathan Demme adapting a Kurt Vonnegut story, starring Susan Sarandon and a pre-self-parody Christopher Walken. The cover art, alas, felches dead muskrats:

(1) They couldn't have screencapped a decent photo of the two together? (Or even used this one.) In the large image we're treated to a profile shot of Walken that makes him look retarded. In the smaller image (stylishly ripped out of the bigger image, but somehow Sarandon is leaning on it for support) they both look completely dorky. Granted, in the film they are completely dorky, but, y'know, way to put off people who've never heard of the flick.

(2) If you can't settle on a font, at least pick a variety of good fonts. I count four ass-tastic ones here, the worst one being the American Typewriter font used for the stars' names, apparently kerned by Helen Keller ("Christopher W alken"). The font used for the title, and the color of same, is worse than the Holocaust and 9/11 put together. Well, not really, but what I'm saying is it's bad.

And I am not one for mobile emoticons. But brilliant, sir. And it would explain the look on his face.

I can even see the tagline:

Kurt Russell smelt it. Josh Lucas dealt it. POSEIDON.

In case you haven't seen it, I give you the worst DVD cover EVER:

Oh the humanity.
