That logo! That typeface! That bright, bright blue! Who gave the fanart people a job at Paramount? |

Gee, do you think they went for a Sopranos appearance there?
How about this one, which I only just looked closely at and thought, Jesus Christ, could they airbrush those faces any flatter? Virginia Madsen looks like a 1930's lithograph. Giamatti's teeth look like he's been eating White Out. And starring Thomas Hayden Church as The Toad!

In person it's worse. I can't look at it for long because I start seeing messages from Satan in Haden Church's weirdly elongated yet flattened face. _________________

Well, one of those spy satellites that can read a newspaper's headline from outer space can certainly pick that cover up! |

What's even creepier is that the studio used the exact same photo of Reynolds' face on the back cover, but his body is in a different "pose." Photoshop creeps me out, as does Reynolds' half-grin. |

The cover art for films such as : "My Bloody Valentine" , "Friday the 13th : Parts 5 thru 8.......all awful......why does Paramount and other studios , not go ahead and use the decent original poster artwork instead of this junk ??? |

What really pisses me offf is the awful cover art for 1993's best film, Steve Kloves' Flesh and Bone...
...and the jettisoning of the stunning theatrical poster art:
http://www.impawards.com/1993/flesh_and_bone.html
At least the home-video jacket kept the haunting line "Evil is Patient". Still...

I can't tell if James Woods' head or Cuba's jacket makes me chuckle more.

"A super-scary ride?" What kind of fuck-ass put me on the DVD cover quote is that?
And why is widescreen two words? |

Uh... I kind of like that design. Nice use of the curves and all, and the placement of the "wide screen"/"full screen" looks better than the usual plain bar across the top/bottom. _________________ Blogs: Jay's Movie Blog, Transplanted Life, The Trading Post |

The "Thrill Ride Sp. Ed." text ruins it by cluttering the whole thing up. Goose is right: poster was much better. |

Wow... one would think if the film could afford Morgan Freeman AND Kevin Spacey, it could manage a theatrical release. |

From the way Freeman's head looks photoshopped into that picture, I'm guessing he was seldom if ever in the same room as the others. _________________ Blogs: Jay's Movie Blog, Transplanted Life, The Trading Post |

I think he stole it from Christopher Walken circa 1990. |
