Cheech & Chong's Things are Tough All Over
[] Buy posters from this movie
by Rob Gonsalves

"This is the C&C flick you want to own."
5 stars

Probably the best Cheech & Chong movie — the boys show some variety, someone besides Chong directed it, and there’s strangely almost no drug humor (except when Chong eats a horse turd he thinks is peyote).

C&C are limo drivers for two rich Arab brothers (also played by C&C). They unknowingly give a car seat full of the Arabs’ money to an old guy in the desert. As Prince Habib, whose answer to everything is “KILL!”, Chong is hilarious. Another great gag has the Arab Cheech getting a hair transplant and talking about his hairpiece; the hair stylist thinks he’s saying “herpes” and is afraid to touch him. “You have...herpes on your head?” “Of course I have it on my head! Where else would you have it — on your dick?”

I have a fond memory of seeing this on cable with a buddy. We died laughing when Chong killed the car; hey, we were thirteen. A similar scene in 'The Big Lebowski' reminded me of it.
