If you liked the first one for all the futuristic stuff and want to see more ass-kicking, well, here ya go...Alien, the first movie in the (now) four part series starring Sigourney Weaver and our favorite acid-blooded creepy-crawlies, was a great example of a multi-genre film: suspense, horror, and science fiction. The second film, Aliens, is much more of a mainstream science fiction thriller. A bigger movie with bigger actors and bigger sets, it features alot more aliens fought with new weapons. Basically, this movie lacks the gritty hard-edged appeal of the original, but it has a slick video-game feel which makes it much more accessible to the average viewer. Personnally, I like the original, unless it's me and 20 drunken buds who want to cheer as the aliens bite it.Besides, what can be wrong with a movie in which Bill Paxton proclaims, "Game over, man..."
